Terms of business

These terms apply when you book work with Code 13 Diagnostics ("we", "us"), a mobile vehicle diagnostics, coding and servicing business based in Wantage, Oxfordshire. Contact us on 07473 131313 or enquiries@c13diagnostics.co.uk. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

1. Bookings

A booking request through our website, by phone or by message is not a contract. The contract starts when we call you, agree the work and a fixed price, and confirm the date and time.

2. Prices and extra work

Prices on our website are guide prices only. We confirm a fixed price before any work starts. If we find something else that needs doing, we tell you and do it only with your agreement.

3. Parts

4. Before we start

We record your car's mileage, warning lights, fault codes and existing damage, with photos, and ask you to confirm them. For key programming we check the V5C logbook and photo ID of the registered keeper, and we won't program a key without them.

5. Payment

Payment is due when the work is complete, by card, bank transfer or cash. If we need to order parts specially for your car, we may ask for a deposit to cover them.

6. Your right to cancel

You have the right to cancel your booking within 14 days of the day we confirm it, without giving a reason. To cancel, tell us clearly by phone, email or message, or use the form below.

Cancellation form (only fill this in if you want to cancel)

To: Code 13 Diagnostics, enquiries@c13diagnostics.co.uk
I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the following service:
Booked on: ____________   Vehicle registration: ____________
Name: ____________   Address: ____________
Signature (if sent on paper): ____________   Date: ____________

7. Our guarantee

Our labour is guaranteed for 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first. If something we did isn't right, contact us and we'll put it right. The guarantee doesn't cover faults unrelated to our work, customer-supplied parts, normal wear, accident damage or later work by someone else.

8. Coding and modifications

We only make coding changes and fit factory options that the vehicle manufacturer supports for your car. Some changes may need declaring to your insurer, and you're responsible for doing so. We don't remove speed limiters, delete emissions equipment, disable safety warnings or change mileage readings.

9. Our responsibility to you

We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for faults that existed before we started, or for problems unrelated to the work we did. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.

10. Complaints

If you're unhappy, contact us first and we'll do our best to put it right. For independent advice you can contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
