Privacy notice

Code 13 Diagnostics ("we") is responsible for the personal information you give us. This notice explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

When you request a booking or use our services: your name, phone number, email address (if given), the postcode where your car is, your vehicle's registration, make and model, and details of the fault or work needed. During a job we may record mileage, fault codes and photos of the vehicle.

Why we use it

To contact you about your request, quote and carry out the work, issue invoices, take payment, honour our labour guarantee, and meet our legal and tax record-keeping duties. Our lawful bases are taking steps to enter into and perform a contract with you, and legal obligation.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We share it only where needed to do the job: for example parts suppliers (vehicle details only), our accountant, payment providers, our website host (which processes booking requests on our behalf), and our insurer if a claim arises.

How long we keep it

Job and invoice records are kept for six years for tax purposes. Booking requests that don't go ahead are deleted within 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Contact us on 07473 131313. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
